Yay - I fixed it.
I’m quite pleased. Reunion was indeed much fun - I’m shattered now though - and I didn’t even sleep on a church hall floor. It’s quarter to eight and I’m going to go to bed! Ha ha. Before that though I want to tell a quick school story (Hi boss!). The other day one of the children in my class (I’ll call him Nmimbi) was having a bit of a sulk so I invited him over for a bit of a chat to calm him down. After chatting for a few minutes he seemed a lot calmer. He turned to me and said “Mr Hoyland, did you forget to brush your teeth this morning ‘cos your breath is a bit smelly”.

On another note - there was a rumour going round the english dept. at work about an author called JT Taylor - he’s on facebook and his idea sounds pretty cool. I added him… you should check it out.
It think if you search for JT Taylor it brings up hundreds but if you put j.t.taylor@live.co.uk in the search box in facebook - it brings him up.

I too had a great time in Leeds, and now that I have had some sleep and a shower I feel much better!!!
I went out driving around the privet roads on campus in my housemates car last night-it was allot of fun, and I am starting to get to grips with it all. However, when I saw a police car driving towards us I felt a bit scared, but fortunitly it went straight past. My mate suggested that I should drive back on the normal road from the campus to our house-however, as I had no insurance or L plates, I decided that would not be such a good idea.
Also…I just watched neighbours on 5! I hate it! Full of adverts. But also-it some how looks different. am sure I am not making it up, and it really does look different. Maybe its just because our channel 5 reception issnt as good.
Pete, you’re right, neighbours did look different…more like Home and Away! I’m pretty sure nothing’s changed about it either, but it just seemed weird! It was a monumental day with the change from BBC, and the adverts and Weight Watchers sponsor bit ruin it a bit, but we’ll all still be watching!
Jonny, do I have to add JT Taylor to see what his idea is? I’m intrigued, but not sure I really want to add him as a friend on Facebooooooooook.
I’m not sure I can bare to watch it on five. It would feel like a betrayal of some kind!

We have convinced one of my (gullible) friends that you can go Ice skating with Penguins-kind of like swimming with dolphins! She belives us! I am going to make a mock website to persuade her even further (it won’y look great, but she is gullible enough to belive it)

Andy, I am upset that I didn’t get a Happy Birthday message so I have decided that I’m going to show off that I got a new PC for my birthday - it’s pretty and new and it works and it’s lovely.
So I don’t mind being old so much now.
Mat, you’re wrong. I won’t be watching Neighbours. And not just because we can’t get Channel 5 at the moment, either! I have decided that this is a good time to break, once again (for about the 10th time) from the shackles of Neighbours. Unfortunately, I did end up watching The Weakest Link when I got home yesterday, but my intention is not to put the tv on until Hollyoaks (come on, I don’t watch ANY other soaps now. I know I’m too old for Hollyoaks and I know it’s pap but it is my only true trash indulgence) because I know what I’m like with tv and I really don’t want to become one of those mums who just watches tv all day. I figure this is a good start…!
Kate, if you have a new pc can we have your old one? Andy fried our motherboard. I have no idea what that actually means, other than that it means our computer doesn’t work any more. It sounds like something out of Star Trek.

Happy birthday kate from when your birthday was.
My birthday was on Saturday but my birthday party isn’t until this Saturday coming so I’m considering this as my birthday week. And it’s rather nice, I got 2 presents today, am being taken to the cinema tomorrow as a birthday treat and I’m picking up my new bike on Friday which was also a birthday present.
Gloira, you are more than welcome to my old PC but the reason for my new one is that it’s so old and rubbish that the hamster used to power it kept falling off his little wheel so I felt it was time for him to retire gracefully…
But Andy, if you think you can successfully use it then I can see about getting it up to Taunton so M&D can bring it with them when they come and see you.

Kate, thanks for the offer, but Andy has told me, in no uncertain terms, that we are NOT having your old computer, we are getting a new one. So the hamster can rest in peace. Not in dead way, just in a resting quietly kind of way.
Anyway. Sorry I haven’t sent your birthday present yet. It’s sitting on the living room floor waiting to be wrapped up. There will be a little something extra to say sorry for it being late, tho, so you can’t complain too much!
