Take my hand

Posted on 22nd August 2008 by Andy

Time passing by with nothing changing
The hope of change leading to nothing
A recurring word and a recurring feeling
Of emptiness and failure
Of shortfalling and failure
Or a lack of all but failure.

I take a step to try to change
But in my strength I do nothing
All alone inside my mind
Needing something to fill the void
And all I see or feel or hear
Is nothing.

And again I fail
See no way out
No hope of change
Or hope at all
Lord, free me now
And take my hand.
My way
My hope
My all.

Jumping Man

Posted on 18th August 2008 by Andy

It’s been a while since I’ve posted and I know it’s been quiet - I always forget that’s what happens when everyone goes to Whitby! We really missed it this year.

I have something to post but it’s not quite finished yet and I am also nearly done on my first proper design for my site too. Which I am excited about. I will let you know when it’s ready. Well - you’ll see when it’s ready as the site will look different. But I’ll give you heads up - this site will look different soon. I’ve also, in the process of trying to create my ideal theme ended up creating a couple of other ones that I will show you all soon too. I’m quite pleased.

Anyway - till then - I thought I would share with you the latest image I am using for my wallpaper. It was created by a guy called Paulo Correa and I found it on the stock.xchang. I don’t know if you will be able to view the guys profile if you don’t have a membership to the site but you should get one if you don’t. I’ve mentioned it before so won’t go on about it. Here’s the image:

A time for everything

Posted on 8th August 2008 by Andy

We went to a wedding this afternoon and one of the readings was from Ecclesiastes 3. I thought I’d share it with you:

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Isaac’s Dedication

Posted on 28th July 2008 by Andy

Morning all.

I hope you are happy and well. It was great to see many of you yesterday for Isaac’s dedication. I’ve put a few pictures from the day on my Flickr photostream. If you have any pictures from the day and don’t mind me having them I would love it if you could send them to me. I’ll probably put them on Flickr too. Hope you don’t mind. Especially any family type photos as I don’t seem to have many!

Thanks… and thanks for coming. I wanted to explain why we asked for Happy Day by Tim Hughes at the service. It’s because it was one of the songs that played on iTunes during labour and I didn’t think Suck My Kiss by Red Hot Chilli Peppers was appropriate. Also - I wasn’t sure the band knew it…

The picture Sian did for the Dedication order of service.
