I lied a bit in that last comment. We have the album. I got it off iTunes. It came with a video interview with Adam Duritz where he talks about each song. Has anyone ever seen Purpose Driven Life videos by Rick Warren? Well - Adam's interviews come across a <i>little</i> bit like those. I haven't watched them all yet - but I think he talks about the fact that a lot of the songs are revisiting themes from earlier songs... he's probably basically saying that he really should just get over it - but, like he says in Insignificant "I don't how to see the same things different now"... he's still seeing a lot of the same stuff as he did before and just cos he's however many years older, he doesn't see things any different now. I went to see them live when i was 15. I don't really remember it but I'm pretty sure I enjoyed myself. I think I just went because all my friends went. Some of the songs sound like they're going over old ground (I think some of them are old songs, but I could be making that up), and the end of Los Angeles is cheese on a stick. I think I prefer the Rockier half of it, and there's a bonus track called Sunday Morning LA that starts off slow and then kicks in with a great riff, that I think is my favourite at the moment. Cowboys, 1492, Insignificant are all great too. I've only listened to it all the way through once though, so I'm dedicating some time to it this weekend so I can get used to the later songs on it.
