We’ve got the latest news… the most up to datest news.

Posted on 1st July 2008 by Andy

Evening all.

Not much going on on the blog at the moment. I had one thought yesterday though. I was chatting to my Not A Geek Really Boss yesterday who has recently set up a blog (hi boss!). She reads this from time to time and she mentioned that she liked it when I told stories from school and changed the names of the children throughout the story… it got me thinking… I always do that slightly sarcastically but it’s for the best really with interweb safety being quite a serious issue… so should I be protecting Isaac on the interweb? You know, creating a false identity so that no interweb fraudsters can steal his real one and use it for black market dealings and the like. I’m kind of picturing that advert off the tele where the two guys go to Uncle Tony’s place and end up getting arrested by a SWAT team… I’m seeing lots of men dressed in full body armour storming our house (located at 29 Acacia Avenue) and arresting a two week old child. So I’ve decided to change the name of my son. And for fraud protection purposes I’m not going to tell anyone his new name. Not even Gloria.

How’d you like them apples you interweb fraudsters?

Anyway - how have you all been? Oh yeah, also, I’ve lost my list of everyone’s bank details so if you could kindly post them in a comment below that would be great.

Good plan. I’m enjoying ‘Isaac’s’ status by the way. What work does he do?

I’ve just done something radical and I don’t feel too good about it. I’ve got rid of about half my CDs. I have too much stuff and I’m moving again soon. I started with the copied ones because I don’t want to copy stuff anymore. That was painful because spome of my favourite stuff is copied. (Am i gonna get hunted down for this? Its a good job my name isn’t really Susie). Then I moved onto the bought ones that I NEVER listen to. Which was still painful as one day I might want to listen to them. But I suppose I just have to think that if that happens I should just get over it.

I just wanted to tell you so perhaps someone might say “yes, that was a good thing to do. You won’t miss them and if you do you should get over it”.

Couldn’t you have just copied them all to your computer and just got rid of the actual cds, so that you still had the music if you ever wanted to listen to it again? It was a brave thing to do, I’ve got boxes of cds I’ll probably never listen to but will never throw out either.

So is Isaac’s real name Amazon, and Isaac’s just his internet pseudonym?

I was ordained 30 years ago today in Bradford Cathedral - just thought I’d mention it…

Sorry it’s late, but I’ve not been online for a bit (church service lasted til 11:30pm last night - insane!),

    Happy Ordainaversary granddad Hoyland!

Hello. As requested by one of the Judges, I thought I’d let you know I bought two Ben Harper albums with my winnings. They are ones I have wanted for a long time.

Kate - are you excited about Sunday?! I went to see Jack Johnson in Hyde Park on Wednesday and it was one of the most brilliant things ever. And Ben Harper was awesome. And he’s playing with Crows on Sunday too!! Yay! Maybe me and Ros will see you there…!

  • Kate

Yes, I am so excited I could poo!! (Is that too much information??)

Looks like the weather will be pants - I will look out for you - I’ll be the one looking like a drowned rat!!

Good choice on the winnings spending - and 2 CDs for a tenner - good shopping!

  • Mum

You’re so excited you could poo and the weather’s going to be pants - is there a theme developing here? If so I’m sure Isaac (who i’m going to see this afternoon) could contribute!
