Brooke Fraser's playing in London on the 26th September. Most of you probably won't know who she is. I like her a lot. I've spent a lot of money lately. But she's only doing one night and its rare that she's over here (I say rare, I think this is her second gig in England...). Shall I go? Its cheap, but there's the train as well, because by then I won't be so near to London. I need some guidance.

Ah yes, I forgot to text you back about that. Unfortunately Not, as I had already agreed to do photos at another wedding before he set his date. However, the wedding is in York, and I am only staying till just before the meal starts, so I might be able to make it over for the evening. Shall email the dr who theory, far too geeky to do over the blog.

I agree - that's what I thought about Powderfinger.

Anna Begins made me cry. In a good way.

I didn't know Bernard Fanning was the Powderfinger guy. He plays in Fat Face lots too. Not live, just to clarify. Crows also did Anna Begins which I forgot to mention but made me very happy. A friend of mine came to see Ben Harper at the wireless and was so impressed with Crows. Which is cool coz she doesn't know much of their stuff. I think it shows how good a band is live if you can really enjoy it when you don't know the songs.

I met an Australian girl in the queue for the ladies who said that Bernard Fanning's solo album was really good. I think I might know the song 'Wish you well' but never knew who it was. Was thinking of buying a Powderfinger album but didn't know which one to go for.

Sounds like Crows did a similar set in Liverpool but with a few extras. Wish I could have gone but tis a bit far from darkest Devon...

I saw Crows on Tuesday in Liverpool and they were excellent then too, although it was in the new arena, and the standing floor bit was only half full. We got near the front so the atmosphere was still fine, but it was a bit of a shame. They came on late so Adam didn't talk much, but here's the setlist if you're interested!

Omaha
Hard Candy
Hanging Tree
Recovering the Satellites
Perfect Blue Buildings (had to restart cos Adam was singing in the wrong key!)
Cowboys
Good Time
High Life
Angels of the Silences
When I Dream of Michelangelo
Los Angeles
A Long December
Come Around
Mr Jones

Meet on the Ledge (Fairport Convention cover?)
Holiday in Spain.

Also, Susie, the guy from Powderfinger, Bernard Fanning has his own album out called Tea and Sympathy (I think), and it's brilliant! When we were in Australia in 2005 the single from it called 'Wish you well' was out and was massive, it's a great song. The rest of the album's excellent too, bit more folk/countryish than Powderfinger's stuff, I think you'd like it. All of you!
