Profile: Jonny Evans made his senior debut against Spain on September 6, 2006. The teenage defender was called into the squad for the Euro 2008 qualifying game and after a memorable debut, when he played like a seasoned international, he picked up two more caps against Denmark and Latvia. Jonny looks to have a big future at both club and international level. The strapping 19-year-old is a tall and commanding centre-half, who is comfortable with the ball at his feet. He is also excellent in taking the ball out of defence and going forward. He is currently out on loan until the end of the season at Championship side Sunderland. The Manchester United defender spent the first part of the season in Belgium at United’s feeder club, Royal Antwerp.
